How Titleist Makes Golf Balls: A Tour of Ball Plant III
Titleist makes the no. 1 ball in golf, everyone knows that. That’s just a fact. The earth is round, 68 + 1 = 69, and Titleist makes the best golf balls. These are indisputable facts. What I didn’t know was all that goes into becoming no. 1 and how incredibly meticulous Titleist is in their process. Every single thing about every single golf ball is perfect. PERFECT. Touring Ball Plant III (which is open to the public, you can go yourself, it’s in New Bedford, MA) was a stunning experience. They have scientists in lab coats with magnifying glass studying golf balls. It’s amazing.
Thank you to Titleist for having us and for creating what has to be the best product in the world. And our sincere apologies from the future — we’re obviously going to deposit hundreds of these into forgotten places and we already feel terrible about it.
